Recommendations for a great EQ pedal for the FX loop?

The new Ibanez PTEQ looks great and is cheap. I like the old Boss EQ20, can save settings and toggle between 2 on the fly. I had the MXR M108, I didn't like it as much. I want the 800hz. Source Audio has countless fans.

Any Peavey JSX owners here? What's your opinion of them?

If you know how to read schematics you'll see there is not much difference. I highlighted the differences.

Modern day amps are too tight…

    Peavey JSX/Triple X II owners

I've had many Peaveys, the JSX is one of my favorites. There isn't much to complain about except for the active EQ maybe and the noise reduction diodes. I'm working on annotating a JSX schematic to compare it with a XXX. I want to dispel some myths.

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

Currently my only real wah a Rocktron Utopia Wah. The sweep is big. I put some rubber pads to limit the heal down range. I don't use it much because I have 3 different Digitech pedals with wahs. I've had various Crybabys. The 9v 535q or DB01 were both great.

Mesa 16 ohm V30 vs marshall vintage 16ohm

There is a rabbit hole V30 comparison video posted not to long ago. The guy did the most scientific comparison possible. It's hard to know exactly what they will sound like based on the T number alone. I have had a variety of 16 ohm singles. Right now I have a Mesa 16 ohm and a "regular" 16 ohm...

    Marshall Valvestate 8100 vs 8200 Bi-Chrous

If anyone wants those tones for way cheaper just get a first or second gen MG. The G100RCD for example is nearly identical to the 8100 with a couple transistors in place of the tube. The MG added digital effects.

    Marshall Valvestate 8100 vs 8200 Bi-Chrous

The 8200 and 8280 amps are the same. The input stage(s) is MOSFET driven. There is a 5v6 diode before the 12ax7. The 8080 and 8100 amps are the same. The input stage is JFET OP amp driven. There is a pair of red 3mm LEDs before the 12ax7. There are some differences in how the tube is wired.

Static X WDT is a VS100, not an 8xxx series.

Top 5 amps of all time that you have owned and why?

If I was able to have only 5 amps from all the amps I ever owned: PRS MT15, simple and straight forward, small format. Peavey JSX, of all the Ultra series amps, this one has all the features and most variety of tones. Mesa Mark V, covers almost every style. Marshall 6100LM, classic tones...
