Can my Renegade handle a 12AT7 in the P.I. ?
I ask because it is said to give off 10 times the current output of a 12AX7 ?
Dont want to fry anything if long term use will cause damage....
I bought one (Tungsol 12AT7 -6201) waiting for it to arrive, and want to use it in the Phase inverter...
Wondering if using a Tungsol 12AT7 6201 would be a good tube for the Renegade V6 P.I. postion ?
I ask because the manual suggest 12AX7 but was wondering if a lower gain tube like the 12AT7 might be better in the V6 P.I. on the Renegade ?

Well now that I have been getting wrapped up in the whole tube swap game I was wondering do preamp or power amp tubes burn in and sound better over time ?
I ask because thats the case with speakers and often times mechanical gear actually improves with age....is that the case with preamp...
