Tonex capture from this dude amalgam, he’s pretty popular I guess. For vintage tones like this his shit rules I will say. I’m quite convinced for sure after playing with tonex for a few days all the AI/machine learning stuff without question blows the doors off of the kemper, which I loved for years as well. Also, this is all FREEEEEE stuff on toneX’s page. Fucking crazy.

Suhr aldrich pickups

1970 Marshall greenback loaded (originals) cab
Boosted slightly with an 808

Slight parallel compression with an “all buttons in” setting on an 1176 comp blended in maybe 25 percent just for some explosive shit on the transients for fun. Really pushes shit forward too.

One more: my favorite capture probably ever of a plexi:

Hah the plexi bug must be going around. I recently picked up a Suhr SL68, a part for part recreation of a late 68 plexi (at least John Suhr’s interpretation of it, as Marshall kinda used whatever was around in house back then), along with a PPI master, and it rules. Great minds!

It's not as bright and crispy as some modern high gainers, and as a consequence I don't think it shows quite as well in shootout clips, but there's something about the way that amp crunches and crushes the notes under your hands that is absolutely addictive. They're crazy dynamic in terms of how clean / distorted any given note is relative to how hard you hit the strings, so they really encourage and reward expressive playing, and when it's at its most distorted and you slam into the strings, the whole amp squeezes up and chokes like it's going to implode, but right after that, the amp relaxes and blooms back out again into this huge warm layer of distortion and it's just gnarly as hell.

I can see why people still buy and play these things.

Awesum sound both clips

You def love your crispy high end... but I tend to lean that way as well so no complaints from me. Essentially I find an 800 with a few tweaks to be the most versatile amp out there with a boost. The NMV sound amazing but can be pushed a little too much into compression depending on the boost. It's a close 2nd for me. But a JMP MV with the volume up and a boost? La bomba!

I'm still on the fence ToneX wise. I think it sounds great but it is missing something for me. I couldn't tell the difference in a mix though. Sadly. it looks like the world is headed towards ToneX guitar tracks and SD3 drum replacement tracks. Direct Bass. Vocals with auto tune / melodyne. Kind of sad really. dudes cutting tracks into their PC's from their home offices vs live in a studio and capturing mojo.
