looking for speaker recommendation for JCM800 BE mod. It's a 2-12 combo cab. I know a 4-12 cab sounds better but gig w/ this a lot due to size. Leaning toward Celestion Creamback M65 or maybe Lynchback?

Have a BE/HBE mod amp (older JCM800 50 watt). Great amp, love the sound. I've found it hard to find a pedal to boost the volume significantly for leads. Even cleaner boosts tend to just saturate more, with the gain less than 1/2 in the BE input. Any suggestions?

I just noticed on my mod that the (simple) clean channel is louder and brighter when plugged into the HBE input. I kind of dig it that way....I assume this is normal right?

does the saturation switch (option) typically drop the volume a lot on a BE/HBE mod? thanks!
