My 92-93 Dual Rectifier is starting to make some weird noises... sounds like a static rustling sound through the speakers. Sometimes it is loud, sometimes it is hardly audible. The amp is 20 years old... don't know if it has ever had a cap job. Is that the first place I should look?

I picked up a used Ibanez RG7321 a week or so back. It has "upgraded" pickups, a Dimarzio Liquifire in the neck and a D-Activator in the bridge. I don't dislike the neck pickup, but the D-Activator just isn't doing it for me. It's not tight enough for me, and the feedback is absolutely absurd...
