Fix for Rebel 30 DI problem

My Rebel 30 combo amp has a problem with the DI output where after running for a while, the output signal starts to weaken and get noisy. The remedy is to turn the amp off and back on. This is a known issue. I'm going to call Egnater about it tomorrow, but I'm curious if anyone is aware of a...

    Rebel 30 with an attenuator?

Has anyone tried using the Rebel 30 with an attenuator? I know this amp has scalable wattage, but its not the same as an attenuator (and I'm not sure why). Running the amp at 1 watt, I'm still not able to push the master volume much to get power tube saturation. I don't normally need any more...

    Cabinet size's affect on tone.

I have a Line 6 Pod (new HD series) as an alternative to my Egnater Rebel. When a manufacturer models an amplifier, are they only able to model what a mic sitting in front of a speaker cabinet hears, or are they somehow compensating to model what the human ear hears? There is a difference...

Swapping out 12ax7 with 5751 preamp tube in Rebel 30?

Can I swap out the 12ax7's with 5751 preamp tube in Rebel 30? If so, is it possible to just swap out the v1 preamp tube or would I need to swap out the whole set?

Using less than 1 watt on Rebel 30?

I'm finding even at the 1 watt setting, I'm not hearing power tube distortion at reasonable volume levels (under 90 DB). Typically, when I play even in a band setting, we shoot for a house volume somewhere in the 90 DB range. That means that ideally, my stage volume should be in the 80 DB...

My Review of Egnater Rebel 30 Combo

Now that I've owned my Rebel 30 1x12 combo for about a month, I'm ready to give a review: What an outstanding amp! I went with a combo over a stack because I don't see the point of carrying around an extra cabinet and making multiple trips. An extra cab doesn't make the tone any better to an...
