Am looking into changing the 6L6GC`s in the amp to possibly KT88`s, although Eddie at Eurotubes says that i need to find out the filament winding to see whether the amp will actually be able to power these tubes. Obviously emailed ENGL and they were reluctant to give me the information on what the transformer filament windings are rated for.
Does anyone else have the same amp, if so what are your experiences with changing tubes? What are my options and will they require only a bias
