Herbert MK2.5 vs MK2 tonal changes?

I understand that there were some minor changes made to the MK2.5 Herbert that affected the sound. Has anybody made the upgrade to their earlier Herbert? Can someone describe or weigh in if it's a noticeable change?
Many thanks,
Rick

I guess if you did it...you think it's worthwhile.
Spoke with UWE about making the change while it's in for a look.
Thanks,
Rick

Serial and the board has a label with the version-#. If I remember correctly board version 1.6 = 2.5 - but you have to ask the Master.

I'm propably going to get a used Herbert soon, but I don't know which version is it. So I was thinking about sending it to Peter to be modded to 2.5 specs.

Is this possible if it's a 1.0? How much would Peter take for the work?

Gentlemen !

To give some light into the discussions on this
and other boards:

I never came up with a mark 1 or mark 2 or mark 2.5 version.
This was an idea from Eddie Yoon, former owner of tone merchants.

The very first 30 Herberts sound different.
They have a fast attack, but not a high amount of
low end. If You like that, You are happy.

From # 30 to # 781 You can hear a small change
in tone towards more bottom end. We spent external
tube fuses and fault LED´s during this time.

No Herbert user has to have fear, that any Herbert
sounds light years better.

Sure, there are small differences but Your cab or guitar
makes more influences that made by the changes.

So it´s not necessary to ship Your amp to California
or Germany.

If You are not satisfied with Your amp we are here to
help You out. I´m two times a year at Uwe´s office
to make repairs and modifications.

Peter

Thanks for that, it cleared a lot of things up.

I was under the assumption that there were some differences in the voicing, thanks to the usual internet disinformation.
