KT88's or JJ34's in a Herbert??

Hello. I generally run shuguang 34's in my herbert and dig them.

My questions...

1. I ran 6550's and found them to be too preampy. Would KT88's do the same?

2. Would JJ el34's give me a more marshall midrange??
