Never mind, I pulled the amp out of the head shell it looks like 2006.

Peter, I just bought a Diezel Einstein 100w head. can you tell me what year it is? Thanks!
003/165

Was shipped on November 13th 2006

Thanks Peter! And by the way this is my first Diesel and I have to say it is truly amazing!

Just got a dmoll serial number 006/198
Could I get the info on it please?
First diesel amp, very excited!

my serial number looks written on with a sharpie and has the name Stephan written under it. i can't tell if the numbers are 5's or 6's.
i know it's from 2006 though.

sorry i wrong spelling Stefan. the serial number appears to be #060564 or #060554?
not so easy to read. there is bleeding from the sharpie.

The serial numbers on VH4s are different than the other models - on VH4 the first two digits are the year.
Interesting; I bought just "brand new" VH4 from Thomann in May 2019. The serial number starts with 14, so the amp has been manufactured in 2014? Maybe this is New Old Stock :D

That is: until 2014. Since 2014 all VH4 serial numbers have started with 14, including current production that are currently shipping.

Thank's for the info, eventhough the numbering logic is not so straightforward :)
