OK, so Friday night I fired up the 5150 III 50w before practice just to check my pedalboard I wired up.
Sounded good, but I kept thinking the D-Moll last week was better.
So I had the Full Band for practice and man is this D-Moll just amazing me.
Cleans sound so rich, at most I run a MXR Analog Delay for some songs, but it sounds great even without. We were adding These Days by Foo Fighters and it was so alive and Ringing.
Ch1 with mid-cut was perfect for that songs beginning.

Crunch CH2 was just as wonderful as last week without the drummer.
Perfect with Mid-Cut Off, alternate patch with Mid-Cut gets me that Marshally 80s Tone.
CH3 I had nailed down this week using Master2 for leads. It was just singing so well it made lead work soooo much easier.

The Mid-Cut and 2nd Master gives me so much more out of the 3 channels.
I personally use it more without the Mid-Cut, but it adds some tonal flexibility.
Tone seeking is over for me.
I am happy with my Clean, Ryhthm and Lead Tones.

Congrats and completely share your feelings about D-moll... except that now that I have experienced D-moll, I really wonder how awesome could the other Diezel amps sound !!!

I also use mid-cut mainly for Ch1 and Ch3 for tonal flexibility, Ch2 mid-range is just so nice that I don't want to miss anything from it.

Question by the way:
Is your delay the MXR Carbon Copy and how do you set it in your rig with D-moll, parallel loop ?

Yes Carbon Copy. I tried both loops, but its good enough for the Serial Loop.
Regen @10:00, Mix 9:00, Delay about 1:00, Mod ON.

I find myself wondering the same... Is the VH4 gonna be that much better... Stupid G.A.S.

Thanks for sharing your settings.
I have heard only good thing about this delay pedal.
Presently I don't have one anymore, I will try this one.

concerning our GAS, question is how long can we resist before getting the VH4 ?
I am affraid it has to happen one day...

Cheers,

I have been saying this for a few months now.. The d moll with in the band mix just kills..
I have a vh4 inbound next week to try out and see since I've owned just about every other Diezel now.
I can't imagine it will out perform the dmoll but I figured I'd give it a shot.

Sir, I think you're the one who can understand the best this GAS situation.
I have tried, checked out, re-tried again and finally bought D-moll thinking that the tone chasing was over.
Now everyday I play D-moll I am amazed by its abilities, and the more I play it, the more I want to try the other Diezels also.

Just based on the gain structure and feel, I am a big fan of the Einstein, D-moll and VH4 style of gain.
I have not yet tried D-moll in band situation, but in home studio it delivers like hell !

I will wait for your test/opinion of the VH4 before getting crazy.

Congrats for soon to come VH4 by the way...

That sounds so sick live! A bit more raw and pissed than I imagined in my head. Really awesome. That breakdown was really tasty :D

Got any vids of your Hagen live? I saw you mention a few weeks ago that it was your #1 right now and killing it live. Would love to hear!

100% of my gas is consumed in the decision of hagen or d moll these days..."Diezel's a hell of a drug"...

PS sweet new avatar

Here is my VH4 Live :)

Dear Reza,
I know this vid since month now, thanks to share. Have watched it don't know how many times.
Your live sound was one of the reason I went Diezel for my new sound, and your band is damn cool ! Any gig plan in Germany ?

After having tried them very quickly at Musikmesse in a noisy situation, I fell in love with D-moll and Hagen, and fnally went D-moll. Absoltely don't regret that, but when I watch your vid (specially 3:01), I have to admit that THIS is what I hear in my head.

D-moll is my first Diezel, I need to grow up a bit, and then I will give a serious try to VH4 and Hagen.

Simplest thing to do:
Buy 1 V30 FL 4x12
Buy 1 G12K 4x12
Buy 1 D-Moll
Buy 1 Herbert
Buy 1 VH4
Buy 1 Hagen

Never have GAS ever again. Evar.

We are a 3 piece from Los Angeles.
Unless we find someone that can put us on a European tour it's super unlikely.
I want a Dmoll too :)

You want a Dmoll too !!!!????

Normally when you have VH4 and HAGEN, then the quest is over, no ???

So, THIS is the Diezel virus... I see now.
And of course, the only cure is: Have them all !!!

Where can I found the user manual to rob a bank ?

That is it exactly. One does not simply stop with one Diezel.
