Diezel Einstein with Boss GT-100 -> 4 cable method question?

Hey,

just got to play around with my new Einstein yesterday. I connected it to my GT-100 (4cm) and noticed the sound was a bit off...especially with the lead/distortion channel the sound was fizzy and weird. Then at some point during the tweaking I ended up changing the main output level of the GT-100 from -10dB to +4dB...and voila, the volume increased a bit and the sound was a lot better and pretty close to the original sound of the amp!

Is this ok...because I was under the impression that it should be at -10dB...or does it matter as long as I'm happy with the sound?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just suck at all thechnical stuff :D

Thanks for the help in advance!

Actually probably solved this...noticed a thread where Peter told the amps send levels are adjusted with the channel volumes (-10dB when volume at noon). It seems that the levels were too low at first, so the +4 setting gave the extra boost, at least that's how i understood it? Correct me if i'm wrong :)

Raised the levels and now ok with -10dB setting!
