Hello guys. I have a question for the people who have experinec in recording.
I have a M-audio Fast Track pro interface and a shure sm-57. So i did some recordings with ableton live 6 it sounded ok but the thing is, i want much better quality.
Some insights on interfaces and PC software to upgrade my recording quality. Anyone?
Or can you get a good quality with this products and i'm the one make it wrong?
Thank you.

You should be able to get quality with almost any interface & daw on the market
Try different mic locations, the smallest adjustment makes a huge difference

Welcome to the eternal quest of getting better and better tracks recorded. Your equipment will be enough, you just need a lot of experimenting in mic placement, amp EQ settings, etc. It will take time, but if you do it systematically and keep on reading hints and tips you will get there. Good luck.

My firsts recordings were horrible, but I have improved a lot so based on my experiences I can only advice that do not loose the hope and keep on trying while learning from the experiences. Here are examples of my bands for which all newer tracks are recorded, mixed and mastered by myself. Still there is lot to improve, but Im sure next time it will be better again.
