I accidently left my VH4 on at standby for a long period of time.
We're talking a week or so here. After that it has started to make a low, wooshing, Bonfire kinda sound whenever I take it out of standby. On standby it is dead quiet.
The closest I can come up with describing it is something along the lines of the intro to "Cluster One" by Pink Floyd.
Now, I am suspecting it is a tube issue, but I wanted to run this by you guys in case it might be something else.
The amp works fine. All the switching works and it sounds good, but this noise is always present whenever the amp is idle.
None of the tube-failure lights has lit up on the back. It's about a year old. Out of safety I'm not playing it until this is resolved.
