VH4 Channel usage

Hey guys!

I tried something last rehearsel that I wanted to share. I used the VH4s channels pretty differently than I think most you do.

My presets right now are:
Ch1: Clean (that´s usual, I guess)
Ch2: Mid-Gain
Ch4: Basic "fast" and "tight" rhythm tone (gain below 9 o´clock)
Ch3: alternate "fat" rhythm tone
Ch2 + Booster (klon Clone) in front: Lead tone. Adding a delay in the loop + the parallel loop as a volume boost for solos.

Thoughts? Anybody doing something similar?

How does it do the mid gain stuff?
I'm looking for an all in one amp, and most high gainers lack in the mid gain department ie: black crowes etc.
I've owned a Herbert and a Hagen, but never a VH4

I do the same thing with a Einstein. Channel 1 in Texas mode with a boost is a smoking lead tone.

VH4 ch. 2 and Einstein's Texas mode are excellent at mid gain.

Haven't played a Hagen...but the Midgain on VH4 is leaps and bounds better than the Herbert.

(Herbert does Metal like VH4 can only dream of though.)
