pre-amp tubes: Peter's recommendation confuses me

Dear all,

in a recent post Peter recommends as preamp tubes:
V1: 12AX7-B High grade selection on B-side 678
V2: 12AX7-B High grade selection on B-side 678
V3, V4, V5, V6 (V7, V8, V9:) 12AX7-B

If I look at the websites of the European tube-shops (Tube Amp Doctor and Tube-Town) I used in the past, I cannot find these tubes.
Where can I find them in Europe (webshops).

In an older post (2012) of Peter I read:
V1: Ruby Tubes 12AX7AC5 HG+ 678 Diezel selection
V2: Ruby Tubes 12AX7AC5 HG+
V3, V4, V5, V6, (V7, V8, V9:) Ruby Tubes 12AX7AC5 HG
--> but again I cannot find these anymore on the above mentioned webshops.

Can someone help me?

I would like to have a set of spare tubes for my VH4 (2011)
It is clear what to buy for the power tubes: KT77 JJ
But not clear what to buy for the pre-amp tubes, especially V1 and V2.
I have a lot of spare tubes lying around. Here is the list:

JJ ECC83S (text on the box: TubeTown V1)
TT 12AX7 Classic (text on the box: TubeTown V1, 12ax7b)
TT 12AX7 Classic
TAD 12AX7A-C Selected
TAD 7025/E83CC Highgrade

So I will call you to get some advise on which I can use where, and what I should buy in addition!

The Valve Queen has the 678's on her site.

She just hooked it up with a Quad of Powers and a handful of 678's and HG+'s for my VH4S

It's only like another $1 for 678...just fill all the signal tubes with those. ;)

I tried JJ, sovtek,Ruby,EH,tungsol,and mullards today in the pre amp of my herbert mk2 and found I liked all 90's square getter and a sovtek LPS in phase inverter. Dougs tubes has some of the Chinese old square getter pre's I think they go for $20 each these days. These are the best to my ears. Peavey used them in the first run of 5150 heads. (This is what caused the MY BLOCK LETTER SOUNDED BETTER THAN YOU SIG 5150) ...
 
Hi Jan, you can get Ruby tubes in Banzai music or in Doug´s tubes.
I bought a full set of ruby tubes for my einstein in Doug´s tubes and all was OK.
 
I think than another good option for you, it would be a set of philips jan 12ax7wa unless Peter says otherwise.
