Dmoll sounding like einstein

i was wondering if there is an easy way to get my dmoll to sound like an einstein?

I love the dmoll but sounds a bit harsh and howly , hard to explain , compressed ...

Anyway i played an einstein once and that was imho the best sound ever ... Instant grin from ear to ear

Circuit wise lots of differences ?

Got the dmoll because of the size and midi capabilities , dont regret it one bit , but just wonder if I could get that smoothness from the einstein out of it ?

Peter ?

Thx

Raf

The circuit is a bit different, but for me the
Einstein sounds more compressed and harsh.

Did you use the some cab und guitar ?

Cheers,
Peter

I don't know how much this figures in but Einny was EL34s I believe ,which are slightly different in voice to the KT77

Think cab back then was a bogner 4x12 , now i use a diezel frontloaded 2x12 v30s

Dunno how to describe what i liked about the eini sound , it sounded more open , rounder , smoother while the dmoll sounds more modern ...

How would you describe the difference in sound using kt88 or el34's , also would preamp tubes make a lot difference as well ?

Thx

Raf

I have a 412 frontloaded V30 under my workbench.

The output transformer we had on the Einstein and
have on the VH4 have more load and have more
compressed midrange. The latest output transformers for
our 100 watt amps are more "open" sounding and have
more articulation.

Of course tubes make a difference. It would make sense
to compare the amps A/B with the same rig.

I will do more research the next days.

Cheers,
Peter
