Hagen for a Herbert?

Does this sound like an unreasonable trade to anyone? I don't play any de-tuned or 7 string guitar but I bought the Hagen. I'm thinking it's too compressed for my tastes. It is a beast though.

Well, the Herbert might feel a little less compressed on it's 2+ channel but not by a lot. With the mid cut option of the Herbert off, there isn't a huge difference between these two amps if you want my opinion. Hagen just has a bit of the VH4's aggressiveness mixed in, where the Herbert is very clean, refined, and controlled in comparison. I would probably do the trade, simply because the herbert is my all time favorite amp, but I wouldn't be expecting a huge change. They are pretty darn similar. It's like trading in a Lamborghini, for a different model Lamborghini. If a Lambo isn't your thing, might want to try something else all together.

Aha. Thank you very much for that. I'm still trying things and exploring the amp. My mind isn't made up yet.
