Supposedly it captures the signal from the amp to speaker, but instead of going to speaker after the amplifier, will go to the Suhr Reactive Load directly and then into my audio interface, and into digital audio workstation for very high quality recording. Basically on par with micing. I hope its true.
The two benefits besides recording are that I can do silent recording by using headphones to listen, and I can crank the amp up since the volume won't actually matter. Its basically being attenuated without messing up the tone.
This will be my first real recording if I go through with this. Planning on getting an Apogee One audio interface with the Suhr Reactive Load, and using with Garageband digitial audio workstation and Two Notes Speaker emulation with my mac.
