FS7HE switching issue with D-Moll

I recently picked up a new D-Moll and an FS7HE to control the amp. When alternating between channels and engaging the mid-cut with the footswitch, there is a very noticeable discontinuity in the sound while playing. It's not quite a time lag, but definitely not an instantaneous switch and quite distracting. I'm using a standard mono guitar cable from the FS7HE to the amp. Is this normal for this to happen with this setup or is a different cable, such as a TRS necessary for smooth switching? Thanks!

there is a switching time of 15ms on the D-Moll
to avoid switching noise.

Hey Peter!

Is that 15ms switching going to be the same when switching from midi? Or will it be slightly longer?
