Paul

I played it at NAMM, it's one of the best Diezel amps.
Yeah everyone I was with all agreed it was our fave for sure. KT77s and 45 watts...it was very Marshall-like.

:D

It is great - think: VH4/Fokker/Schmidt mix.
Great midrange, super good clean, enough gain for Metal (even on the 2nd Channel), not too "busy" in the bass.
I have played and compared it with a lot amps in our showroom before NAMM here in Hamburg.

It does sound really good! I am gonna consider this one!

And oh boy, Peter Stapfer has to deal with some weirdos on Namm

Yeah, as weird as that dude is apparently, the usefulness to run this pedal on pretty much the industry standard Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus goes without saying.

Man, I haven't gelled with the Diezel's I've tried (VH4 and Herbert) but this amp sounds so much more up my alley. Hope to demo one sometime. Andy is just a scary MF'er on the fretboard. Dig how he can shred but he still plays great blues vibrato etc.

@ Peter: some Questions about the PAUL.

From a picture I found on the gear page, I speculate that the elements you can program and MIDI-control are:
- selection of ch1, 2 or 3
- selection of Master 1 or 2
- selection of reverb on or of (for the selected channel)
- selection of the loop: in or out
- selection mute or not

-> is this correct?

Is the loop a serial loop?

Regards,

Jan

A video of the Paul with a Les Paul (or any guitar with humbuckers) and heavy riffing (not only shredding) would be appreciated as well ... a lot!

Thanks!
