Paul vs D-Moll

Will the Paul handle Lamb of God, Messugah, etc...? I assume that since it's a Diezel the low end will be robust, but I've heard it's rather "tight." I take tight to mean less low end, less crushing chords, more balance of bass and mids. The Paul videos featured on Youtube are demoed with single coils, but I'm a humbucker guy, so I'd like to know something about that aspect too. A D-Moll was the original object of my next purchase, but I opted for the Paul thinking that it might be a transition more fitting for a Marshall type guy like me. What can I expect with the Paul in terms of how it handles modern metal?

If I took anything from Peter's comments on the Paul, is that it'll do stoner metal really well. Not sure it's geared towards the LoG and meshuggah style tones. The D-Moll definitely can. One of my bands songs very LoG and it works ace for it.

LoG tones - no problem. Paul is strong in the midrange. Meshuggah - nah - not really... Maybe with a TS and an EQ pedal...
