Good morning!
I have a question regarding Hagen's clean channel. Had it for 2.5 years but this never occurred to me until now.
Even with medium output pickups, my Hagen's clean channel gets quite noticeable break-up from 11:30-12 o'clock onwards. With higher output pickups, I need to dial the gain back to about 9:30-10:30, especially when playing on the bridge pickup. Channel volume is past 12 to compensate, Master volume at ca. 9 o'clock. Does not really change with lower channel volume and higher master. Is that normal?
Until now, this did not concern me because I was playing at low levels but I am now able to play a lot louder and am concerned that I may run out of clean headroom.
The clean sound is excellent but the dial range for really clean sound is quite limited. Maybe a tube issue?
