I fired up my amp today and it's now got this noise. It's on all 4 channels. The noise is present when the master volume and/or each channel's volume is all the way off. I've tried different cables, different locations within my home. Any suggestions?

Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5GXhwOhdUg

I guess it's one of the tubes, probably even one of the power tubes.

I removed the outer pairs, then the inner pairs, and then each one individually. The noise was present with each tube. When I removed all the tubes, there was no noise.

I've also replaced all of the preamp tubes with the following: Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG+ 678 V1, Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG+ V2, Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG V3-7 (the PI socket has one rated to be a power inverter.

Guess it's time to get me a new set of tubes.

If the noise does not disappear when removing neither the inner nor the outer pair of power tubes, I'd see a tech.

Should be a power tube or a tube socket connection. Try rolling a tube to v1 since its in all channels and rolling one in the phase inverter slot(unless the preamp tubes you mentioned replacing were after the noise). Not much else it could be that you could fix yourself unless you were a tech then you wouldn't be asking the forum.

If you've changed tube type you may just have loose sockets. Like Chinese tubes have bigger pins than JJ and it's a common problem to have too loose of a connection after swapping between the two. To me personally it sound like tubes that are very worn or are about to short.

Unless it goes away without the instrument cable in the amp
