Hi, I am proud owner of VH4/S

Channel insert 4 doesn't work (no sound on ch 4 with channel insert engaged)

All the other channel inserts work fine.

Do these channel inserts have fuses??

Or what can I check to find the fault?

Thanks,

Arthur

No fault fuses on inserts.

Please disconnect your effect unit from the channel
insert jacks and try again.

Herr Diezel, (you the man!!)

Channel 4 insert keeps failing on me...
I can switch to channel 4 (with channel insert) maybe 3 times. After that no sound on channel 4....
I use Engl Z12 and have eq inserted on channel 4

??????

Please clean the jacks with a cleaner spray.
Btw, the Z12 is using the wrong pins for phantom power.
But this has nothing to do with the insert issue.

Best regards,
Peter

Herr Diezel, I hope I don't bother you to much with this….
Now channel insert 1 doesn't work either anymore…..
I have cleaned like you said.

(I have only pins 4 and 5 (midi) of the din plugs connected and supply the Engl with adapter)

SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cables not good!
First (bad ones) where BOSS gold. The good ones are KLOTZ, these have a slightly different jack tip angle!!!

Kind Regards

Update.
Not the cables. That wouldn't be logical.
I noticed the spring contacts in the jack inputs are worn out.....
