I was considering selling my Einstein to get a Herbert....I play in a hard rock/metal band and the other day at practice my Einstein was just completely CRUSHING my buddy's dual rectifier...I seriously cannot imagine the Herbert crushing the Einstein in terms of hard rock music, I mean...this thing just sounds SO damn good....am I wrong?

Yes...but only because I believe that NOTHING can sound anywhere as good as a Herbert, even a VH4 or Einstein.

I think that the Herbert has more "thrust" to the way it plays and can accentuate more bottom, but then you are comparing the Einstein to a 180 watt amp.

Both sound great but just different. The Dual Rec cannot stand up to a Diezel, but with a Herbert, you can get the amp to sound so powerful that you would think you are the only guitar player playing in your band.

You cannot lose either way. If you seriously desire a Herbert, save up for one and have both amps.

Only your other guitar player will hate you. :)
