Herbert owners - Where do you run your presence?

I have mine just below 4 at the minute, and it seems to be a happy medium for smooth leads, and crushing rhythms.
 
Yeah I have mine pretty high as well. Around 3 or so. I'm playing through a vintage 30 and a G12H30. EMG 81 and 60.

It destroys.

I'd like a EMG 85 though in the bridge.

Do you mean 3/10 or 3 o'clock?
 
at the moment, about 12:00 as far as I'm concerned
not too high, not too low...
one more Belgian compromise... huhu

1:00 is perfect. What I've found is that it almost has to be 1 notch over where my Deep knob is. If my Deep is at 11:00, Presence is 12:00. If my Deep is at 2:00, Presence at 3:00.
 
I meant 3 oclock. I like the presence low as well but it is a completely different sound. Right now I'm playing at very low volume so that is why I have the presence high. When I crank it in a band situation then I drop the presence lower. It really does depend on which guitar I'm playing too. Darker sound = more presence, brighter obviously less.
 
for me as well it depends on the volume and the guitar i play, but at home
volume i use a lot of presence (almost to the full!) whereas when playing live
or rehearsing i have it between 12 and 2 o'clock ...that's what is cool with
presence...you can shine at any volume!!
