With modules that have a clean and an OD side, like BMAN and SL, I sometimes find it
hard to get the right combination of gain, level and eq to get both sides dialed in right.
Do you aim for equal loudness, or louder on the OD side?
How much different in gain between the two sides.
Do you do this with the guitar volume all the way up or part way up?
How about picking EQ settings that work for both sides.

The general consensus is you can get your tone on ch1, and then a slightly dirtier version of the same tone on ch2. But trying to get a full clean tone on ch1, and then something entirely different on ch2 is not something many have had success with. Personally I wish switching to ch2 meant more gain, more mids, and more raw. But the way they're designed, switching to ch2 usually means more gain, more warmth, and slightly smoother.

I don't even switch back & forth between channels any longer. I pick the best sounding channel for my tone, then I use a dirty or clean boost to add more gain, eq, or volume.
