...about you.


I enjoy getting to know people, and I saw a thread like this on another non musical forum I check out at times and we had good some good fun.

It can be anything, but NO ONE around here should know it, not a hint from an older post or anything.

I'll start:

- I was born in the Dominican Republic (caribbean), and BOTH my mom and dad are politicians, my dad was a senator and is currently running for President of the country.

disclaimer: this fact was not for bragging reasons at all, it's just one of those things you would have never guessed because I don't like to talk about it. and NO I'm by no means rich :aww:

Ok, I'll be brave and admit this one thing I hate about myself, but can't seem to get over:

I have a huge phobia of driving. I'm almost 43 and have never had a driver's license and could barely drive a car if I had to in an emergency (I can order the fuck out of a taxi though :D ).




EDIT - I also shot a man once just to watch him die (well that, and he wouldn't give me a ride). :)
 
i started a business when i was 17 and the income paid for the first two years of my college. Im currently gearing up to start it up again after i had to close it due to NC law's based with retail competition (could not work in retail and have my business at the same time)

currently getting all of the equipment back i had to sell and looking forward to starting the company again :thumbsup:
 
I was a ranked dart player in USA ? For the fellow Brit Rig talkers who follow darts ... I traveled to a tournament in Atlanta GA . for a USA PDC tourney (Peach tree open 2007). Wayne Mardle and Ronnie Baxter were playing in a Cricket event , I was coaching Wayne because he didnt understand at the time how to play American Cricket . Funny having a British Champion come back to me and ask "What Should I throw next?" ...Ronnie wiped the floor with him and wiped the floor with an American Cricket National Champion that day and lost to Colin Osborne .. Wayne Mardle won the 501 that weekend over James Wade for $25,000 ...

Even though I spend alot of time playing guitar, and a fair amount of time taking a degree in history at NTNU, my primary focus is racing roadbikes.

I'm very predictable.

Carpenters and Neal Diamond are two of my all-time favorites.
 
I think I never mentioned it but I am hearing impaired and I wear hearing aids in both ears. Yes, I play guitar and I'm slightly tone deaf but I "hear" on my stomach, feeling the vibrations.

I was a self employed convenience auto mechanic. I go around places and work on their cars while they are working. It's always small jobs like component R&Rs and emergency repairs like broken fan belts and dead batteries. They love it as it was very convenient for them and I don't charge them outrageous rates like the shops.
 
I did a lot of musical theater in high school, and won some acting awards in local competitions.

In other words, I'm a Thespian.

I learned how to swim at 26. Still not a fan at 31 and I won't swim in lakes. I don't partake in any water sports and could care less if I'm ever out on the water. Boating's okay I guess.
