If the first one had HSS pup config, modern C neck profile and a flametop body in 3-sunburst color, it'd be quite close to being a perfect strat in my books.

2.4Ghz is just the frequency being used, it doesn't necessarily mean it's wifi. Wifi, specifically 802.11a/b/g/n is a protocol for transmitting data packets over various frequencies. I suppose it could be used for wireless, since various plugins have worked over IP networks for slaving of processing power. Reaper and Logic in particular both have this ability. But they'd really have to watch latency.
