Hey guys, I posted some progress pictures of this awhile back, and I've actually had the guitar for a little while now, have just been busy with all kinds of stuff... anyway...
Hufschmid H6 Left Handed Guitar.... here's some brief specs:
Sapelli Mahogany Body
Flamed and Spalted Maple Top
Ebony Fingerboard
Kent Armstrong Pickups (custom wound to my specs)
Sperzel Tuners
Hipshot Bridge
25" Scale
Hand Carved Compound Shaped Neck
I really wanted something different from the norm, I contact so many companies and was either met with zero reply, a rude half assed reply, or something along the lines of me just not being taken seriously, and while I can understand that these companies get TONS of E-mails a day from people asking tons of questions who have no intention of buying a guitar, that wasn't the case with me, and I was quickly turned off from most of the big names, not to mention the completely asinine wait times... Patrick completely changed my outlook on custom and hand built instruments, and what really goes into making a guitar, he offers something totally unique that I can truly say is ONE of a kind... and I couldn't be happier.
I usually try not to gush about things too much... but this guitar is just on a completely different level than anything I've ever laid my hands on... I've owned Gibson Customs, Jacksons, and currently own PRS and Musicman Guitars... along with a Mayones Custom Shop as well... and the Hufschmid just blows them all away in terms of sound... despite the body being thin it sounds absolutely massive, has a clarity unlike anything I've heard.... and is just overall the most balanced instrument.
The playability is almost a joke, strings are nearly laying on the frets, but there is no sacrifice in tone... no string buzz, nothing... playing the guitar is completely effortless and just inspires me to play every time I pick it up...
I'm going to do some videos demo'ing the sounds of the guitar, it can do everything from screaming high gain to warm and round jazz tones between the two pickups and the volume and tone knobs, for now I just wanted to post something up now that I've had her awhile and she's all settled in to her new home...
But for now, here's some pics:
