Hey Guys,

Just got clearance to release the details of all of the new Kemper gear for 2013. The have been busy in Germany.

They will still offer the "lunchbox" Kemper Profiler they have become famous for and they are also releasing the following.

** Kemper Profiler Rack **

Press Information – for immediate release

The Kemper Profiler Rack
Kemper Amps announce Kemper Profiler Rack – 19” 3U of amazing profiles.

Kemper Amps/ Ruhr Area, Germany – January 18th, 2013 (ictw) – Today Kemper Amps, the makers of the highly acclaimed and award winning Kemper Profiler announce the new Kemper Profiler Rack.

One year after the arrival of the Kemper Profiler concept to the market, it has found its place on all levels guitar players usually operate: at home, in the rehearsal room, the recording studio and on stage, even arenas. Featuring a user interface nearly identical to the lunchbox version, the Kemper Profiler Rack is just as easy to operate. The layout is highly intuitive and already familiar to users of more traditional amps. The most important parameters, such as gain, tonestack and volume, are directly accessible. There are even dedicated knobs to control the reverb and delay from the front panel.

Also available fully powered– The Kemper Profiler PowerRack

The Kemper Profiler PowerRack adds a built in 600 Watt power amp to the Kemper Profiler concept and turns the former recording solution into the most versatile guitar amplification system ever. Utilizing the Kemper CabDriver mode, guitarists now have the choice of playing through regular guitar cabinets or full range monitor systems. This extends the Kemper Profiler concept as the perfect solution for the rehearsal room and the stage.

The 600 Watt Class D amplifier was carefully selected for the guitar amplification system to guarantee utmost performance. After extensive listening tests, a lot of measuring and looking thoroughly at the typical sonic behavior of power amps for guitar amplification on the market, it became clear that only the best components are capable of delivering impressive results.

Many touring musicians have been consulted and now the PowerRack is ready to rumble at the NAMM Show. Visitors can play the Amp at the booth in conjunction with a choice of Cabinets: A classic 4 x 12” standard guitar cabinet, a 1 x 12” guitar cabinet, and a selection of full range solutions.

The Amplifier delivers 600 Watts at 8 Ohm, 300 Watts at 16 Ohm, does not heat up (temperature can be monitored on display) and is lightweight.

The Kemper Profiler Rack will be available some time after NAMM and lists for $2025 at Kemper Dealers -

King Guitar Price is $1975

About Kemper Amps:
The Kemper Profiler represents a radical new approach to guitar sound. For decades, the electric guitarist has effectively been shackled to the tube amplifier as the only solution for getting “that sound”. This combination may indeed be glorious, but it is far from ideal; achieving consistent results between practice, studio, and touring situations continues to challenge the guitarist, just as it has since the early 1930's. With the advent of the Kemper Profiler, everything has changed. For the first time in history, guitarists are free to create the most unique and individual tones that reflect the very essence of the player, and then capture these exact sounds into the digital domain with Kemper's patented technology.

Great news on the rack mount, I can't preorder now but will be on my list for 2013!

So the Kemper Profilie rack and power amp together are how much?

cool, gotta wait for tax return though.... so if I bought an old version toaster, I'd have to mail it to Europe to get the power am installed?

Guys someone in the know please help me out. I am off to spend 3k on an acoustic guitar Friday. Am I understanding correctly that the Kemper will have an acoustic setting built in. Is this for your electric to sound like an acoustic or just an acoustic amp to play an acoustic/electric thru the Kemper? Thanks I may buy this instead.

There are some acoustic profiles that came with the last update 1.6. I assume they're for acoustic guitars (but not real sure)

There are some profiles out there that sound like a piezo equipped acoustic. Good enough to replace an acoustic live? Maybe, maybe not, but certainly good enough to replace an electric with piezos IMHO.

Sweet!

Is the poweramp modular in that if someone buys the new rack w/o the poweramp, they can then buy the poweramp later and install it? I read it as owners of the original Kemper would have to send theirs in to get the poweramp installed.

Is the rack available without the built in poweramp? Or is the built in poweramp by-passable?

Is the power amp bypass able is the question left on the table. I looked at a few pics of the rear panel and they are too grainy. The Kemper info does not say, where I was finding it.

It would seem logical. You can chose all the others.
