I picked up a Tone Cat last week. I played a Shiva since they first came out and was just looking for something different. I am trying to find out more about the Tone Cat than I already know. This one has four el84s for the clean channel and 2 KT77s for the gain channel. I was told it originally came with el34s instead of the 77s. I am not sure how this has changed the vibe of the gain channel as I do not know how it was with the 34s. I cannot find much on these on the web. I was told they did not make many and that Mark Sampson designed it. I would love to get my hands on the schematic and owner's manual. The only thing the Bad Cat website has is the tube layout diagram. I had emailed them and I was told that they do not have the manual and such and that it was done prior to the current ownership. I did not know if any of you knew about these amps or where I can find some of this documentation.
