Has anyone tried any alternative power tube types in their Jube? With the option to do so
I'm curious to try.

Ohh yes I did. I tried combinations of pairs..KT88/EL34, 6550/6L6, KT66/6550, and my favorite was EL34/KT90. KT90s are big sounding like 88s but have the mids of a 34. Made the Jube really big sounding yet warm. Biased between 110-120 for KT 90s and 76 for the Siemens 34s. Ultimately I sold it in favor of an original 2555 but the RI is great!

And yes the RI 2555x is a very nice amp.
