Mesa Triple Crown: Who Owns / Has Owned / Spent Time With?

I am really thinking of pulling the trigger on one for a "home" amp...Questions:

- I have been told that the lead channel is PLENTY aggressive / brutal enough for most (without a boost)...Thoughts?

- Does it really sound great at lower volumes?

- Has anyone tried the amp with the headphone jack yet (I like to play late at night sometimes)....How's it sound?

Amps I have like in the past - Peavey 5150 / Mesa Marks / Diezel D-Moll / Boosted Marshalls

Thanks guys...Any feedback appreciated!!!

I got one. Awesome amp. No boost needed on ch 3. Sounds great at low volumes. The Tight mode is the shit. Haven't tried the headphone thing, no interest. Clean ch excellent as well. I got a JP2c here and the TC-50 is as good in it's own right, IMO. No overlap, they just both do their own thing w/ their own voice.

I demoed one for a few hrs..like most of the threads say, thought it was decent, nice amp with nice features, and useable tones.I have a mkiii coli red stripe,mk iv and just bought a 84 mkiic+,so that's where im at now (the mk series).I think a 100 watt version would be very nice.
