This. Mike, check out Sonuscore’s The Orchestra for Kontakt. That thing is badass and a great tool for orchestral noobs and pros alike. Fantastic sketch tool.

Dude it is. Totally worth the cost for presets alone, let alone the fact that you can deep dive and make it sound like anything you want it to. I usually wait for sales for this kind of stuff, but I paid full price for that the day it came out and haven’t ever regretted it. It’s awesome.

Man. that sucks about Cakewalk! I thought Roland owned them? They should just release ownership or sell cheap.

That said one reason Reaper has such a good reputation is that around 10 years ago everyone was having problems with getting their UAD-1 cards or plug ins like Superior Drummer 1 to work in Sonar and Cubase. Nobody wanted to fix the problem and just blamed each other. Justin with Reaper fixed it and people started jumping ship.
