Whats you favorite of all the EVH 5150?

The new 6L6 50w with the dual pots is my favorite. I just built a small rack around it and it's the best rig I've ever had. Sounds great, easy to set up and it does everything I need. :)

What did you put under the head? I had to break my rack down last week and bring it home until I get a permanent rehearsal space again. Needed the smallest footprint I could get sharing a buddies spot.
I still need to try one of the 6l6 versions...

5150 III 50w 6L6 for me.

My Diezel VH4 preamp pedal into my JSX's poweramp sounds better than any Peavey 5150/6505 that I've ever played or owned.

Ive had all 3 and my current 6505+ is my fav. It has mojo my previous 6505+ didn't have. That crunch mode!

I prefer the 6505+/5150 II to the EVH versions. I've not had the stealth, but I had the 50w and 100w regular 5150 IIIs, and the 50w was much better. I always stayed on the blue channel and it seemed to have more life than the 100w for some reason. The 50w wasn't loud enough for the band I was in at the time though.

I used the top part of a 2 space rack drawer. Drilled 4 holes in it to match where the head's rubber feet are and screwed the head into the drawer and into the rack.

5150 2x12. Have not played them all haha.

In my defense I have played the block letter, the combo, the 5153 and idk if the 6505 counts but I had the + and played the non +.

EVH 50w 6L6 version. I'm liking the new one with the concentric pots on channel 1/2. Just got the amp today as a matter of fact. Blue channel is divine.

For me the 50 watt is the best bargain amp on the market. Has a much better blue channel than the original EVH 5153 100 watt head. I’ve also owned the 6505+ and it made me question ever buying an expensive amp ever again.

My 5153 Stealth is my favorite though. I just love that amp. Such great blue channel that can be dialed in to cover all kinds of territory. The red channel is a solo only channel for me and I like it just fine for that application. I’m disabled and need to sell off some amps that I just don’t play anymore since getting an AX8 but my Stealth would be the last to go.

The 50w 6L6 has been one of my favorite amps of recent years.
If the opportunity came up, I'd also buy the EL34 50w version because it's sounds similar, but definitely different enough to justify owning as well.

I still haven't tried the 5153 EL34.
My favorite of the all the other ones is the EVH 5153 first version with it's original EVH 4x12. Followed by the Peavey 5152 head with the EVH 5150 4x12.
That's a match made in heaven for me.

I just picked up one of the new 6L6 models with the dual pots. I had the original 5153 50 watt and while it was cool I sold it. So far I'm really liking the new one.
