looking into getting one

thoughts?

did anyone get theirs direct from them?

how much extra tax and tariff customs etc did it cost in top?

thanks

gassing for 070!

I got one a while back. Didn't really bond with it. Played great. No problems with quality or anything like that. Just didn't really do it for me. I much prefer Mayones Duvells. Tax will depend on your state. You pay sales tax. No import fees or anything like that. You pay Aristides direct. They send you the guitar. Then you get a letter in the mail from your franchise tax board demanding you pay sales tax. Bastards.

i had a fancy looking silver 060.

the sustain is not bad but not in the special level as they advertise.

it has lots of "through neck" feel.
so, the decreasing transition from the attach point is very smoother.
some might say it is the piano-like sustain.

the neck joint is almost removed.
slimmer neck profile.

the problem to me is, the sound is not like wood.
not much organic harmonics, dull to me.

You might even look into booking a ticket for Amsterdam, go for a vacation, and pick it up yourself :D
A guy I know here in Norway did that. That being said, it's a short flight, and taxes are brutal here.

Excellent instruments. Made incredibly well. They are very sterile tonally to my ears. I always say, "If I owned a pickup company, I would buy an Aristides to test them in." You really get the true tone of the pickups. Truly impeccably made instruments. I love them, and have owned 5-6, but I prefer wood. Personally.
