Locking tuners - which ones?

another vote for hipshots. I have the open back version on my LP Jr and just freakin' love 'em.

Not to mention there's no drilling or screwing with the universal adapter plates that come with them.

since the topic was brought up , and speaking of LSR's has any one here given these new Hipshot's a try ? they kind have the LSR vibe but with a 16:1 gear ratio.

I'm sure those plates leave their footprint too. Btw, the Sperzal allow you to choose your buttons per your taste. For me the drawback on the Sperzal is the chrome that is exposed while looking straight on at the headstock because mine are black.

I have Hipshots on 2 of my guitars and they are outstanding tuning keys..I also have non-locking Schallers and some non-locking Grovers and the latter 2 are good as well,but the 18:1 ratio on the New Hipshots I really like,and they guiars just stay in tune no matter what..the exposed gear Hipshot 3-3's I just purchased kick ass !

Im gonna recommend Grover, since that's the only one I have experience with.
