Hey Guys,
I flew out to visit one of my oldest best friends on Monday night and had the pleasure of playing some music through some of the most coveted original vintage guitars and amps ever made.
Played a killer 1958 Gibson Les Paul Custom through a 1966 Marshall JTM45 and 8/10 matching cab cranked to "10" most of the night. Wow, what a tone!
Also played a 1957 Fender Stratocaster and a 1963 Fender Telecaster Custom and couple of Les Paul Specials and a very very good 59 Les Paul Junior and well as a pile more. (He has 2 1959 Sunburst Les Pauls there but I didnt play those this time).
I wont mention his name as he is a private guy but his collection is mind boggling and his playing is so tonefull and tasty it was allot of fun.
Here are few crappy iphone pics of some of his amps in his living room, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The jam room housed even more... (These are all original and some of the best ever made).
