Messing with the AxeFx Ultra and Ver 9.00 firmware Uber amp sim. Playing a great Indie guitar Les Paul style with a Gotoh Floyd. Used the Edirol to capture the audio....no direct feed just what's in the room. Wicked guitar...wicked firmware upgrade Cliff has made for the AxeFx!!!!

Playing some Queensryche riffs...yeehaw!

Presets added....I use the Global EQ's
OUT 1 for DAW/FOH .....note I didn't use this for the YT but I do for live. Keep in mind our PA is bottom heavy.
63=-9.4
125=-4.3
250=-6.1
500=0.6
1K=0.0
2K=0.0
4k=-0.7
8K=-1.9

OUT 2 For ART SLA2 and Randall Cab

63=-6.8
125=-0.4
250=-5.2
500=-3.2
1K=-2.1
2K=-2.3
4k=-0.9
8K=-1.3

Hey Mark, can you talk a little bit on how you have your GCP setup with the Axe for live use? Are you using a bunch of different patches for different songs or do you have a main patch, like the one in this video, then just turn on and off certain effects as needed?

I am dying to get one of these but still learning about them and trying to figure out what the best setup for me live would be.

I set the GCP with 4 presets and 8 I/A's.
I have 4 patches per bank and I use about 4 banks which are basically just the same patches in each bank with minor differences in 1 or 2 patches.
My main bank would be:
1. Clean
2. Dirty Rhythm
3. Rhythm with Delay spillover
4. Solo
Another bank would be the EVH bank
1. Clean with Phaser
2. Rhythm (delay would be set at 320ms)
3. Rhythm with Flanger
4. solo with 320 ms delay and phaser
ETC

My I/A's are setup as follows:
1=O/D
2=Phaser
3=Flanger
4=Delay Midi Mod (to increase delay volume, time and FB) before I hit the next patch for dramatic trailing delays
5=Tuner
6=Pitch Detune
7=Delay
8=unused
 
Oh man, it can't be that easy. I think I am making this harder, in my head, than it needs to be .
