My uber is making alot of what sounds like a relay or something switching repeatedly. Only does it without a cable plugged into the input. Amp sounds great no other problems just thinking this is not normal and is intermittent.

Try running a patch cable into the input to determine whether it's the amp or something else in your signal chain. You've probably tried this already.

When nothing is plugged into your input jack, the jack engages a mute relay. It just means that the input jack switch blades are intermittently touching. Most likely cause from a trip on the cable when it was plugged in ;) Replacing the input jack will take care of that issue.

I have had the same thing happen on my revision blue. With the power off, I sprayed contact cleaner on a q-tip and put the q-tip in the input jack and moved it around and cleaned the contacts inside the input jack. This solved the clicking that sounds just like your post. It may take a couple passes with the contact cleaner & q-tip to properly clean out your input jack.

Best wishes,

Bullseye

I have owned 4 ubers and 3 of them did it when there was no cable.

Cool. Thanks guys.
Damn thing sounds like a pinball machine.

Edit. Just fixed it with qtip and deoxit. Thanks.
