Probably won't help much... I've got a Mark IV and a Blue Stripe and I wouldn't part with either. They do not sound the same, not at all, other than they're both obviously Boogie Marks, and I can't dial one in to sound like the other. Sure, they can get close, but if close was good enough... well, for me, it's not. The Blue Stripe is really aggressive, really bright, and really loud. The Mark IV is more smooth, more polished, and has a little more gain. It can get loud, but it's easier to control than the Blue Stripe (which is a raging beast... in a very good way).
To the OP, sotosprince... great tone! I've found the Mark III's crunch channel to be a lot more useful than the Mark IV's. At least to me, it's more intuitive and just sounds better.
