Brad Whitford of Aerosmith – Voodoo Modified 3 Monkeys BW Amp
"The Mod is best described as our 'Mid-Drive Mod', which is what I would call 'Vintage High Gain.' IE: The amp retains the tone of a plexi but has more gain on tap for improved sustain, harmonic content as well as legato passages. You can set the amp up for a nice rhythm or lead tone and then roll down the guitar’s volume knob to clean up the tone. Over all, if you are in standard tuning and are using 10ga strings, the amp feels like your using 8ga or 9ga strings. It's very smooth and easy-to-play but it also retains a great rich-n-chunky low end. Very inspiring to play on! We also installed our 'Anti-Hum Mod' as there was some residual hum. The amp now runs extremely quiet and no noise suppression or gates are needed on stage or at front-of-house." – Trace Davis, President / Founder
