I see there is an added gain structure switch but are there any changes to voicing as in possibly brighter not as dark as the previous versions???
 
Man, there seriously needs to be a sticky on the 16' BE....

The 16' has:

1)Gain structure switch

2)Slightly revised "voice" switch

3)Sozo caps instead of the old Mallory's

4)TAD el34 power tubes

The biggest difference is going to be the TAD el34's vs the previous JJ's.

The voicing isn't changed...it's the components (tubes/caps), not the circuit....
 
Synergy Royal Mustard caps not Sozo. There is a small change with the negative feedback circuit that makes it more punchy and clear sounding. The caps are still being rolled into production though, just because it has the structure switch does not mean it has the caps. Nothing wrong with the old caps either though so I would not worry.
 
My bad...mine has the Sozos. Thought those were the new production version...

Are the Synergy Royal Mustards the same thing as the Sozos, just re-labeled?
