Was wondering is anybody else's Friedman amps presence tone knob was making a bad swooshing sound that sounds like a scratchy wave? The thing is I'm getting quite a hit of hiss and noise from my amp.
The main issue is the hum that stays audible for a minute or so after turning on amp. Wondering if it's bad ground connection since the Presence knob is connected to both Ch's of the BE.

Just wondering if this could also be causing the slight hum and noise I'm getting?

It's normal for the presence control on the be100 to make some noise when adjusted.
From the BE100 manual:
"This pot will sound scratchy when adjusted - this is normal"

Pot scratch is normal. Hum you shouldn't have. Could be a tube going bad.

But I've literally tried 4 different quads of new tubes from my stash and all new preamp tubes.
I've been through many tube amps and LOVE this amp. It's just giving me lots of noise and hum still.

I'll probably try to take to tech again in Nashville Dave cause it's gotta be some little bad component that got damaged during the redplated tube and blown fuse. Never did it till after that happened. Contact you after your NAMM show so that shipping lable can wait, I'm in no rush and know ur busy most the week. Thanks

Ok, yea I actually remembered reading about it in the manual as soon as the other person said it. As far as the slight hum goes, I'm going to take it to a tech in Nashville next time I go.

Other than that I'm loving this amp. I've been diggin the SAT switch more lately when I'm playing at bedroom volumes. Sounds like it does when we play shows but just at bedroom level.

Yeah take it back to Barry something is not quite right. Please let me know if thats a bust and I will get it back.

ok thanks Dave. It'll be on Feb. 2nd, but I'll let you know before we go down there anyway.

Same is Happening to me since day 1 noises and hum post are Scrachy and one of the output outlets never worked, didn't worry much Only use one Cabinet till this date, Mine is the early November 2013 with preamp tubes. But love the amp sound. tried a lot of thing like changing pickups but the amp still do a lot of noise!

Well, as far as the hum and noise, one of my tubes redplated when I first got it and it blew a fuse. I've changed ALL tubes several times with several know good tubes, it's absolutely not the tubes. Dave's even sent me a new quad a couple months back and I have 4 new quads of EL34's at my house. It HAS to be a power section resistor or component that got damaged in the blow tube and fuse. Just my luck, but I'm not worried at all, Dave is one of the best guys I've ever met that will stand by his amps 100% under warranty. So I'm going to take it to Nashville tech or Dave said I could ship it back to him.... I live in Ky and Daves in CA. Just don't trust UPS or FedEx, but might ship just since Dave knows the new V2 boards better than anyone.

Other than that, the amp rocks still. But I'm trying hard not to play it until I get the amp fixed so I don't run into any other problems. Have to wait till Feb 2nd when I take my son back to the Dr. in Nashville.
