Hello, bought myself a brand new DS combo. First and foremost, what a fantastic amp!!! This is THE sound I've been chasing all these years. Thank you Dave! I have swapped out the stock Creamback with a Scumback M55 PVC and got my hands on a pair of NOS Tung-Sol 5881's. Right now with my wall voltage down a bit, I get 436v plate with the tubes biased at 40ma. Using some of the online bias calcs, I see there are two different choices for 5881 @23 watts and 6l6WGB @26 watts. 40ma sounds the best to me. Safe? Thanks for any help................Jesse
