Help with Strange Noise (Torpedo Live)

Hey guys,
just bought a Torpedo Live. When I tried to hook it up with my Mesa Boogie Mark IV, a strange noise occured coming from the torpedo itself. It's like the raw sound of my amp is somehow audible within the unit. I hope I'm making any sense here. Can somebody help?

Signal Chain: Ibanez RG -> Mark IV -> Torpedo Live -> babyface -> DAW

Update: When the Output of the amp is next to 0, I get a somewhat decent signal. It seems like the more the poweramp section of the amp is driven, the more signal degredation occurs/guitar signal is audible "in" the torpedo live.

this "strange noise" comes from the coil in the TORPEDO Live. This is totally normal:

You should hear as well some sound coming from your output transformer in the amp, which is normal, as well.

i guess i wasn't aware of that effect. does it occur regardless of the amp connected?

The more power is sent to the Live, the more you wil hear this noise, regardless of the amp you use.

as the TORPEDO Live was initially designed to go on stage, this sound can't be heard really in this situation. But I can understand it disturbs you in a studio environment. The VB-101 does not have this effect, and the fan is totally silent, to prevent any disturbance in a studio room.

This said, the important information is that it is perfectly normal.
