Dear all,
one of the first VB-101 user in France was kind enough to share his method to make his iPad speak to his Torpedo C.A.B.
1- What you need
- iPad
- iPad Camera Adapter which is is basically a USB adapter
- a USB -> MIDI interface, in this example we use the ESI MIDI Mate II
- MIDI TOUCH application available on iTune
2- Procedure
You download and install MIDI TOUCH, plug the USB adapter and ESI Mate on the iPad on one side, and on the C.A.B. MIDI In on the other.
The C.A.B. must be configured to listen to MIDI CC and PC (see the MIDI section of the manual), you can monitor the MIDI messages you send from the iPad in the SETUP menu of the C.A.B.
You can build your own interface or just download this preset:

This preset is a good basis, but feel free to enhance it and share your work with others!
By the way, we are talking about the C.A..B here, but you can do the same for all the Torpedo hardware products.
