Reload Line Out question

Hello,

is it possible to use ONLY the Line Out feature of the Loadbox without attenuation and without Loadbox feature? I would like to connect a tube amp with a speaker connected and insert the Loadbox between the amp and speaker to pad the Line Out signal (speaker signal of the amp) which will be sent to DAW (with WOS spekaer and mic simulation). So therefore the Attenuator and Loadbox SHALL BE totally bypassed. Is this possible? If not, which is the best LINE OUT box (Suhr Line Out, Countryman DI) for best signal quality? thanks

yes you simply connect the amp's speaker out to the Live's speaker in, the Live's Thru to the speaker and set the amp impedance to the speaker cabinet's impedance. The Live's line out (which is TRS balanced) goes to the FOH and your good to go.

Hello born_hard,

as a matter of fact, the Line out on the Reload requires the loadbox, so you can't have a line out signal without sending the signal to the Speaker input on the Reload. There is no THRU output like the one Andy talked about, on the Torpedo Live.

Maybe the Torpedo Live is a better choice if you need no attenuation or loadbox actually.

Another option, if the output transformer of your amp has pairs of outputs, is to plug a cabinet to one and the Reload to the other. Your amp will see a combination of the cabinet and the Reload impedances.
